As a first post in this blog, I chose to start with covering the main Oracle Database options available in the OCI. They are many, and suitable for different and specific requirements you may need.

Accessing the OCI menu, under Oracle AI Database, we can find the well known Oracle DB deployed in VMs, single or RAC; the engineering systems (Exadata) options; as well as the most recent technologies – Globally Distributed and Exascale. Not to mention the options for Autonomous.

I should cover one by one in the next posts, starting with the most “basic” one, which is the Oracle Base Database Service.
